Cookie Policy

A few facts to get you started

Why have we made this Cookies Policy available to you? In the interests of transparency, we would like to let you know more about the origin and purpose of the information processed during your browsing on our site, and about your rights with regard to cookies and other tracers used by our website.

Tracers and cookies may be deposited on your browser when you visit our website

Only the sender of a cookie can read or modify the information contained in it.

What are we talking about?

Cookies and tracers are small computer files that are deposited and read when you consult a website, read an e-mail, install or use software or a mobile application, regardless of the terminal you are using.

Your navigation terminal is the device you use to surf the Internet (computer, smartphone, tablet, etc.).

There are different cookies for different purposes: session cookies, which disappear when you leave a site, audience analysis, saving a shopping cart, automatic website language translation, adapting a site to the screen format of the terminal used…

How does it work?

Cookies and tracers are generally deposited only when you have consented to them, using the settings module on the banner of our website, which you can access at any time by clicking on the cookie icon at the bottom left of your screen.

You can therefore modify the choices you have made at any time, by going back on the consents you have given or by finally accepting a cookie that you had initially refused. Other cookies, which are purely technical and/or functional, do not require your consent.

Other ways of managing cookies are described below.

Purpose of cookies

The cookies we use on our website are used for the following purposes:

  • Store and update a unique value for each page visited;
  • Filter requests from robots;
  • To distinguish unique users by assigning them a randomly generated number as a customer ID in order to analyze traffic on our website;
  • Save language settings.

List of cookies

The cookies we use on the site are selected by SCAN Avocats to achieve precisely defined objectives.

These cookies are as follows:

Host Cookie name Goals Service life _gid Stores and updates a unique value for each page visited 2 days _gat Filters requests from robots A few seconds _ga Distinguishes between unique users by assigning them a randomly generated number as a customer ID for analyzing site traffic 25 days pll_language Functional cookie for storing language settings Persistent

Cookies and consent

On your first visit to our site, you will be asked to accept or reject all the cookies you wish to have placed on your terminal.

You can also configure your choices by specifically accepting or refusing each cookie using our consent management module, which is available at :

  • Click on the SET button in the banner. This button is located in the center of the banner displayed on your first visit;
  • By clicking on the cookie button located at the bottom left of your screen during browsing. This button is always visible, even after using the module accessible in the banner displayed on your first visit (see above).

You can thus choose to accept all cookies globally, to refuse them globally, but also to go back on your choices if you change your mind and accept or refuse them one by one.

Some cookies are accepted by default, or are not subject to your consent insofar as they are solely intended to enable or facilitate communication between our site and your device, or strictly necessary for the provision of online communication services, at your express request.

These are purely technical cookies, as identified in the table above.

If you do not wish cookies to be installed or read on your terminal equipment, a refusal cookie will be deposited on your equipment so that we can record the information that you have objected to the use of cookies.

If you delete this refusal cookie, it will no longer be possible to identify you as having refused the installation of cookies: we will then ask you again when you visit our site again, as if you were visiting our site for the first time.

If you choose to accept cookies, an acceptance cookie will be placed on your terminal, and if you delete it, we will also ask you to do so again. If you’d like to fine-tune your choices, we recommend you use the module we’ve deployed for this purpose.

We keep your choices for 6 months.

Other options for setting cookies

Browser settings

In addition to the module we provide, you can also configure your browser to accept all cookies, to reject them systematically, or to choose which cookies you wish to have installed on your terminal.

You can also regularly delete cookies from your terminal via your browser.

Remember, however, that these settings must be made for each terminal and browser you use.

The settings for each browser are different. Here are a few examples:

  • Safari:;
  • Chrome:;
  • Firefox: http:%20les%
  • Opera:
  • Edge:

We would nevertheless like to draw your attention to the fact that your browser’s settings may cause certain websites to malfunction or become inaccessible, for which we are not responsible.

Publishers' opposition modules

Some third-party publishers have their own module for blocking the cookies they place on various websites. This allows you to systematically object to their deposit. For example, the Google Analytics cookie opposition module is available at this address:
